・In 1235(Kamakura Period)
・Selected by Teika Fujiwara(when he was aged 74)
・The one hundred poems are said to have been written on a fusuma
(sliding
door)in a mountain cottage at Ogurayama in Saga(Kyoto).
These are called
the Ogurasansou Shikishiwaka.
*Teika's mountain villa
・One verse each from a hundred people - a total of
one hundred verses.
・79 male poets and 21 female poets
・In terms of content, the verses can be divided into
(1)Love (2)The Four Seasons (Spring,Summer,
Autumn,Winter)
(3)Travel (4)Separation (5)Miscellaneous
・From 1,Emperor Tenchi(626-671),to 100, Juntokuin
(1197-1242),the poets'
lifetimes span 600 years.
